Responding to Returned Reports

Fix what the reviewer asked for and resubmit cleanly.

Intended for: TechniciansTechnician GuidesLast updated 2026-09-18

Required permissions: The technician the report was returned to.

A rejection is a correction request, not a failure, the reviewer's reason tells you exactly what to fix.

Before you begin

  • Read the recorded rejection reason

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

    Open the returned report

Returned reports appear in your portal with the rejection status.

  2. 2

    Understand the correction

The reason recorded by the reviewer states what was missing or unclear, for example, incomplete indication orientation.

  3. 3

    Correct and resubmit

Update the findings or details requested and submit again, the new submission re-enters the queue, and both events are audited.

Expected result

The corrected report is back in the review queue.

What happens next

The reviewer re-examines the report.

Important

  • Do not resubmit without addressing the recorded reason, it will be returned again.

Troubleshooting

Rejection reason unclear

Ask the reviewer directly, the portal shows who reviewed it; the conversation stays off the report record.
