Version 1.1 September 18, 2026
Customer portal accounts, documentation center, and in-app contextual help
New functionality
- Customer portal at /portal: customer contacts sign in with their own account, view their approved and delivered inspection reports, track their work requests, and submit new work requests directly to their provider.
- Customer accounts are linked automatically to their company's customer record by matching the sign-in email to the recorded contact email.
- Public documentation center at /docs with role and module guides, workflow articles, troubleshooting, a searchable glossary, and release notes.
- Contextual help on every major platform page: a help icon opens page-specific guidance over the page without navigating away or losing work in progress.
- Platform help menu linking to role guides, module guides, glossary, release notes, and the documentation search.
- Expanded authenticated Functions Guide with role-specific and page-specific instructions.
Improvements
- Customer-level data isolation: customer accounts can only read their own company's records, and only reports that are approved or delivered, enforced at the database level.
- Customers can create work requests only for their own company.
- Public site navigation gains a Documentation menu, Customer Login entry, and documentation links across the footer, homepage, and module pages.
Known limitations
- Photo and file attachment on inspection reports is planned, not yet available.
- Offline field capture is planned; the technician portal requires a connection.
- Automatic qualification-expiry and calibration-due alerts are planned.
- Customer notifications by email require a verified sending domain, the platform records approvals and the portal itself is the source of truth.
User action required
- Providers: record the customer contact's email on the customer record, then invite that person as a user so they can sign in to the customer portal.
