Creating Work Requests
Turn a customer request into an approved, traceable job.
Required permissions: Create within your organization's tenant.
A work request is the single record every later stage, scheduling, field report, approval, delivery, invoicing, references.
Before you begin
- The customer exists in your directory
- Known details: site, asset, NDT method, priority, requested date, scope, and PO number if you have one
Step-by-step instructions
- 1
Open Work Requests
Use New Request.
- 2
Complete the required fields
Request number (auto-suggested), customer, and NDT method are required. Add site/location, asset/component, priority, requested date, and the scope description.
- 3
Record the PO if available
The purchase order number keeps billing traceable later.
- 4
Save
The request starts as New, creation is audited, and it appears on the dashboard.
- 5
Advance the lifecycle
Approve to authorize scope; then scheduling assigns a technician and a date; Start Inspection when the crew mobilizes; Mark Complete when the work and report are done.
Expected result
An approved work request that scheduling, reports, delivery, and invoicing all trace back to.
What happens next
Schedule the request and assign a certified technician.
